Iphigenia

Iphigenia, favourite and most beloved child of her mother and father, longs to escape her childhood.

When her father, Agamemnon, summons her and her mother to Aulis, (where the Greek army is encamped and seemingly stranded before being able to set off for Troy), Iphigenia is overjoyed that she has come to marry the famed warrior Achilles and embark on the first step of her adult life.

However, events conspire and instead of the happy future Iphigenia envisions, Iphigenia's future will lie in ruins, and the destruction of the House of Atreus is set in motion.

The fourth play in The Fall Of The House Of Atreus sextet, and maybe the most harrowing, where love and duty is tested, and futures and people destroyed.
